A report by Bloomburg News , also carried by the Environmental Website Watts Up With That, says that a draft statement for the G20 Ministers meeting 0n March 17/18 backs way from commitments made at Paris regarding massive spending by Governments to combat climate change . The draft suggests that the private sector should carry the load on this.
This would be quite the ‘ come down’ from the the much celebrated legally biding agreement that supporters of the Agreement expressed at the time and who have continued to express.
Many of us at the time expressed doubts ( detailed on this blog site) of the nature and extent of the commitments given the ambigious wording contained in the agreement.
Once again people should be warned to be wary of the exaggerated claims frequently described by climate zealots concerning international agreements.
