So, this was suppose to bring down house prices and make housing more affordable?
According to the Financial Post this weekend:
A home was just listed for sale in Vancouver for $63 million. A record !
The average price of a detached home in Vancouver rose to a record $1.8 million.
Funny how this gets lost in all the rhetoric of necessary state intrusion in just about everything .
So , this tax has not accomplished what the proponents said it would.
Do you think the tax will go anytime soon?
And what do the people think. Today a new poll indicates that only 2% of people in Vancouver think housing is affordable there and in Toronto just 6%.
