Leaked Contracts Reveal Pfizer Used its Power to “Shift Risk and Maximize Profits” in Negotiations with Governments

Pfizer used its power to “shift risk and maximize profits” according to leaked, unredacted contracts obtained by Public Citizen, a consumer advocacy group.

Pfizer has been accused of bullying and shaking down governments during Covid vaccine negotiations – much of their wheeling and dealing has been done in secret.

New contracts reveal Pfizer took a hard line in push for profits with the least amount of exposure and risk.

The “contracts consistently place Pfizer’s interests before public health imperatives,” said Zain Rizvi, the Public Citizen researcher who released the r

Sharon Castillo, a spokeswoman for Pfizer, said that confidentiality clauses were “standard in commercial contracts” and “intended to help build trust between the parties, as well as protect the confidential commercial information exchanged during negotiations and included in final contracts.”

Joe Biden and many Democrat officials have imposed Covid vaccine mandates because of Pfizer’s demands and secret contract negotiations – and as a result, Americans are losing their jobs.

Washington Post reported (emphasis ours):

Public Citizen found common themes across contracts, including not only secrecy but also language to block donations of Pfizer doses. Disputes are settled in secret arbitration courts, with Pfizer able to change the terms of key decisions, including delivery dates, and demand public assets as collateral.

Experts who reviewed the terms of contracts with foreign governments suggested that some demands were extreme. In contracts reached with Brazil, Chile, Colombia and the Dominican Republic, those states forfeited “

‘immunity against precautionary seizure of any of [their] assets.”

“It’s almost as if the company would ask the United States to put the Grand Canyon as collateral,” said Lawrence Gostin, a professor of public health law at Georgetown University.

The company rejected that logic. “Pfizer has not interfered and has absolutely no intention of interfering with any country’s diplomatic, military, or culturally significant assets,” Castillo said. “To suggest anything to the contrary is irresponsible and misleading.”

Some contract demands appear to have slowed vaccine rollouts in countries. At least two countries walked away from negotiations and publicly criticized the company’s demands. However, both later reached agreements with Pfizer.

In contracts with Brazil, Chile, Colombia, the Dominican Republic and Peru, governments were required to sign a document that says each “expressly and irrevocably waives any right of immunity which either it or its assets may have or acquire in the future.” The first four also were required to waive immunity against “precautionary” seizure of their assets.

Public Citizen found contracts that required governments “‘to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Pfizer’ from and against any and all suits, claims, actions, demands, damages, costs and expenses related to vaccine intellectual property.”

  1. Señor Peckford;

I just read the Washington Post article, by Adam Taylor, “In secret vaccine contracts with governments, Pfizer took hardline in push for profits,” and was originally surprised at the unexpected tone of the article (it is the Washington Post for God’s sake, need I say more) and the apparent displeasure of the writer regarding the duopoly of Pfizer and Moderna.

However and sadly, the credibility of Taylor tanked as soon as I read this whopper of a lie, and I quote from the article, “Like Moderna’s, Pfizer’s vaccine has been found to be highly effective against the delta variant of the coronavirus and to provide long-lasting immunity.”

We are acutely aware and Taylor should know that these “experimental gene therapy MRNA products” do not provide long lasting immunity. For Taylor to suggest otherwise smacks of ineptitude, laziness in research, an attempt to obfuscate the truth and/or a lack of understanding of what immunity really means—-Taylor might benefit from looking at the lack of immunity that double, even triple, “vaccinated” folks in Israel, Singapore, etc. have achieved from these experimental materials.

Sadly, it is this type of deceitful and/or incompetent journalism that has brought the profession into deserved “disrepute” and once again validates why the public distrust in the MSM and Social Media is growing at an alarming rate.

    Food for thought.

  2. Reblogged this on In defense of human freedom and commented:
My comment: Big Pharma definitely used its financial power to corrupt governments, but they could not have done it alone. There was a collusion of several different entities at play here: the CCP and deep state actors/traitors (who toegether devised and perpetrated the psyop), globalist billionaires who funded it and gave sanction to it, Wall Street profiteers who went along with it, MSM (propagandists), Big Tech (censors), petty tyrants and Leftist pundits who were promised power and profit, and countless others who sold their souls in the process, either out of fear or greed. It’s a worldwide Axis of Evil, some motivated by power lust, some by profit, some out of fear, and not a few motivated by misplaced reactionary political idealism (i.e., the “progressive” ideologues). The result is that we’re entering into a Dark Age for humanity, one in which the murderous CCP will eventually acheive world domination. The good news is that God, working through the human desire for freedom, truth and justice, will prevail in the end — but not without a great struggle against a seemingly overwhelming foe. “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” Psalm 19:21 This is a fight for freedom and truth. For now we have a voice. For how long I don’t know. But it’s important to use it while we can. I appreciate this effort by you Mr. Peckford. You stood up for freedom, against medical tyranny, at a time when it was needed, and provide a great example to others.
