You are not the leader who closed down a Parliamentary Committee from hearing more on the SNC Lavalin Scandal , are you?
You are not the leader who obstructed justice by interfering with the operation of the Attorney General’s Office are you?
You are not the leader that prevented witnesses from appearing before the Independent Ethics and Conflict of Interest Commissioner, are you?
You are not the leader who tried to grab more power from Parliament when the Pandemic struck are you?
You are not the leader who has been soft on China concerning the Wuhan Virus are you?
You are not the leader of the Government that still stumbles over a decision on using Communist China electronic equipment, are you?
You are not the leader who promises a balanced budget in your first term , only to build up tens of billions of extra debt , are you?
You are not the leader that did a deal with the Socialists to ensure there would not be full Parliamentary sittings , are you?
Oh, and you are not the leader this past few months who presided over all those protests that blocked railway lines and brought our economy to a standstill, are you?
You are not the leader who presides over a country whose ability to test for the Wuhan Virus is less than the Americans, are you?
You are not the leader who presides over a country that boasts of universal health care when 5 million citizens are without a family doctor and wait times for certain procedures are 18 months or more, are you?

I share your fury, Mr. Peckford, and I am sure the majority of your blog’s readers will concur. A comprehensive summing up of this government’s transgressions needs to be publicised. I am confident that the amount of material would require that the article would have to be serialised over many days in an ‘old-style’ broadsheet newspaper…just need to find an editor with the freedom to print the facts.

Unfortunately spin wins over facts these days, so all these objective truths don’t matter. The Canadian media is a Liberal spin machine. The US media has been trying to depose Trump since the election. Trudeau faces polite scripted questions, Trump faces a daily antagonistic scrum. Trudeau is helped by another party to suspend Parliament, Trump has the deeply entrenched Democratic party helped by the FBI to deploy fake narratives to a compliant media. Trudeau faces a smug country that’s constantly telling ourselves we are better than the US, Trump faces a country deeply torn by self doubt and internal division. Canada simply does not permit public expressions of opinions outside a small box (cf. Rebel media reporters strong-armed out of political meetings and press conferences, or the fate of people like Don Cherry, Faith Goldy, Max Bernier, and Stockwell Day). We are no longer a country that appears to value democracy, accountability or diversity of thought and expression. It’s just a perfect situation for a guy with Trudeau’s limited skills.
