Anti-Israel tent city pops up at UBC

Ezra Levant reports from the University of British Columbia as anti-Israel protesters have created an encampment on campus.

I’m in Vancouver for other business and I had a meeting at the University of British Columbia today. I walked by, and one of these U.S.-style foreign funded, professionally organized pro-Hamas protest encampments has popped up in the heart of the university.

Now, final exams are over. Most of the students have vacated the university. But at the protest, there’s every ragamuffin around including — I emphasize — the professional organizers.

There’s a terrorist group called Samidoun — it’s a pro-Palestinian terrorist group. Similar to Hamas, it’s regarded as a criminal terrorist organization in other countries such as Germany.

Because Justin Trudeau is our prime minister, it’s not banned here in Canada. And one of the Samidoun organizers is behind this protest. Of course there’s foreign funding, of course , there’s professional Antifa funding. 

I tried to talk to some of the folks here, obviously as soon as they see a camera they say, ‘who are you?’ and they try and block it.

Just like my experience at Columbia University and the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, and the experience of my colleagues across the country, these folks don’t really have a lot of arguments.

They’re more cult members who delegate the communicating to the senior organizers. And many of them are professional haters from Antifa or whatnot.

As I was walking by, two people just on the street recognized me partly because I’m wearing a Rebel News shirt, and they came up and talked to me.

One man said, “It’s just been an environment of intimidation and harassment towards anything that’s not matching their views essentially. It’s just been horrible, they’ve been harassing Jewish students, chanting intifada, revolution, calling for basically terrorist acts.”

A woman on the campus said, “It’s horrifying, it’s anarchy, it’s hateful. It’s not doing good to anyone.”

  1. Too bad the WOKES weren’t educated as to history. Does this mean they would accept some foreign entity entering with guns blasting and taking over Canada/

    • I believe that is the game. Crash the economy, crash the dollar, create an atmosphere for revolution and then call in the UN goons to take control of our country. Then they can implement their one world government NGOs with their digital currency and digital ID bullshit. Modern day slavery. The big pic.

    We’ve seen this same behaviour from this self-entitled tribe for 150 years:

    Asher Zvi Ginzberg reported that the settlers “behave towards the Arabs with hostility and cruelty, trespass unjustly upon their boundaries, beat them shamefully without reason and even brag about it”. 1891

    • Israel disengaged from Gaza in 2005, evicting over 9,000 Israeli citizens living in 25 settlements. In June 2007, Hamas took over the Gaza Strip from the Palestinian Authority and began firing thousands of rockets and mortar shells at southern Israeli towns and villages, terrorizing and destabilizing the lives of hundreds of thousands of Israelis. Israel had left behind its extensive greenhouses in the hope that a peaceful Gaza would profit from these enterprises. Instead, the Palestinians looted and then burned most of these structures to the ground.

      It is Hamas that has caused the killing of so many civilians by using them as human shields, by stealing their food, medicine, and fuel, and by refusing to provide shelters for ordinary citizens. Hamas embezzled billions to build 100’s of km’s of tunnels that could’ve been used as shelters for civilians.

      So many people are vulnerable to totalitarian death cults such as Islam, and the variants of socialism. Decades and decades of futile attempts have proven that negotiating with and/or appeasing totalitarian death cults are futile.

    So you Jew haters reading this who know who started this war on Oct 7th with the cruelest of atrocities and hostage taking by those to which you attribute no fault. Shame on you! I don’t hear you calling for your terrorist heroes to release the remaining living hostages to end this war immediately! That’s all that it would take and has been so since the war began. You now lament the deaths your Jew hatred has caused but refuse to end it but rather magnify it even more. Tell your terrorist heroes to release the remaining hostages and end the war. I won’t hold my breath waiting for that to happen.

      Imagine being a Palestinian instead of a student peacefully protesting the ethnic cleansing and mass murder by the state of Israel:

      A group of over 200 armed Jews attack and beat American students.

      🇺🇲 Organized groups of armed Jews who attack students and professors at universities are not students and are some randomly assembled thugs, most likely coordinated and organized by the Mossad. Many American students were injured in the attacks.

      • Israel seeks to minimize civilian casualties, while Hamas seeks to maximize civilian casualties using them as a propaganda tool. Propaganda very effective upon you and other pacifist Utopians who’d willingly extend your own necks and that of your children in the face of terror.

      Not quite up to speed ,are you? Your ignorance is in no way an excuse for what the Israelis do every day -since inception of state- and Jews did to the native Palestinians for decades prior to their gift from Rothschild.

      There are over 9,500 Palestinians being starved ,beaten,tortured and raped in Israeli jails today and over one million have been incarcerated by Israelis since 1967.

      I won’t hold my breath trying to explain to you that most of these human beings are held without charge and is just another section of Israeli terror committed every day upon Palestinians.

      This war will never end,Morris. Releasing any captives that have not been killed by US/Israeli bombs and tanks will only give this psychotic death cult the green light to slaughter another 50,000 Palestinians while you cheer them on.

    Be mindful of with whom your sympathy’s may lie.

    WAR IS HELL and war is ended by defeating the enemy who exists upon a covenant that calls for your destruction. The Jews were far too tolerant and enabled fanatical slave regimes to embezzle billions in “foreign aid” to build a terror state and followed through with actual deeds.

    Disproportionate force, if available, is the most ethical way to end the war. All collateral damage—including deaths of innocents—resulting from Israel’s use of retaliatory force is exclusively the responsibility of those who initiated force and thus necessitated retaliatory force. All of it can be stopped by returning remains of hostages.

    The Hamas “ideology”. Actually a group-think of primitive tribal cannibal savages. Cowardice on steroids being indoctrinated to college students, and existing within those subservient to primitive tribal cannibal savages. Shame, shame, shame upon the rampant moral cowardice!

    The very charters of the institutions that govern the Palestinians are declarations of intent to murder. Far from being charters for the founding of a civilized, rights-respecting state, they are declarations of war against civilized, rights-respecting society.

    “Peaceful solutions” to the problem that is Israel “are in contradiction to the principles of the Islamic Resistance Movement. . . . There is no solution … except through Jihad”:

    “[Hamas] aspires to the realisation of Allah’s promise, no matter how long that should take. The Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him salvation, has said: “The Day of Judgement will not come about until Moslems fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees.
